Ever met an African Gentle Giant?
You will be able to connect with Elephants through a unique guided interaction. Where you will learn and get to touch the elephants. You will meet all the elephants from an entire herd. This is an unforgettable experience.
The sanctuary is located in a nature reserve park, where the elephants roam free. They are well-fed and have amazing keepers that ensure they are in good health and always fed.
Itinerary
- Our driver guide will pick you up and drop you off at your accommodation.
- The areas we cover are Gauteng (Pretoria & Johannesburg) and Limpopo (Steenbokpan, Vaalwater, Lephalale, Thabazimbi).
- Pick-up time is around 07:00 from your accommodation. You will be met by your guide who will be with you for the duration of your elephant interaction day tour.
- The drive through to the park takes about 1.5 hours from Johannesburg.
- The drive through to the park takes about 2.5 hours from Steenbokpan, Limpopo.
- The day includes either lunch or brunch.
- Thereafter the interaction will start around 12:00.
- After the interaction, we will be heading back to your accommodation.

Wear layered clothes as the mornings can be chilly but through the day it can become nice and warm. Wear comfortable shoes. Do not wear any bright colours or animal prints. No flairy dresses or shirts.
